North Lincolnshire Wolds AONB

A land of rolling hills and hidden valleys, gentle streams and nestling villages.

There are many attractive landscapes in Northern Lincolnshire which is why we are currently supporting the proposal from North Lincolnshire Council to extend the Lincolnshire Wolds ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ up to the Humber Estuary.

The bid to extend the northern boundary of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB has attracted the support of a wide number of local, regional and national bodies including Natural England, the National Farmers Union, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Economic Partnership (GLLEP) as well as garnering significant support among several of our local MPs. Together, we at the CPRE hope the combined campaigning pressure of all these organisations, as well as grassroots support among our local community, will ensure the success of the bid and the future, ongoing protection of such a beautiful stretch of Lincolnshire countryside.
